The American Meat Institute has released a new series of video vignettes highlighting the importance of environmental management systems and sustainability efforts in the meat and poultry industry.
Through interviews conducted with industry leaders at the annual Conference on Worker Safety, Human Resources and the Environment, the videos explain various efforts companies have in place to manage their resources and are designed to encourage companies throughout the industry to use educational and web-based resources to improve and expand environmental management and sustainability programs at the corporate and plant level.
"The meat and poultry industry has made significant progress in its environmental management and sustainability efforts," said AMI President and CEO J. Patrick Boyle.
