Rawhide Portable Corral Offers New 'Processor' Model

Three available sizes and great adjustability in alley width and pen configuration are all part of this company's new design.

Rawhide Portable Corral of Abilene, Kansas, has a new model: The Rawhide Processor.

The design comes in three sizes. Standard is 40-50 cow/calf capacity. Large is 80-100 cow/calf capacity. Super Large is 140 cow/calf capacity.

The company says the new model, like its past offerings, give versatility in pen size and configuration.

The Processor has a permanent, sheeted adjustable alley to aid with working your livestock. The adjustable alley can be sized from 30 inches wide down to 16 inches either manually or hydraulically. There is an option of mounting a head gate to the end of the alley for easy, on-site cattle processing. You can even add a self-contained loading chute to the system.

If you like to lure your cattle with feed, the Processor can be driven completely through and out the opposite end. Each panel section has its own solid rubber wheels to avoid problematic flat tires during fold-out and fold-up. The corral system also has several man-sized pass gates to aid handler movement throughout. It can form two, three or four pens to aid with sorting your livestock.

The new Processor is easy to set up and uses electric-over-hydraulic cylinders on the back and front of the unit. The 16-inch transport wheels are permanent, retracting up and down with the flip of a switch. This avoids unpinning and sliding off the axels and rolling out of the way, a common requirement with portable corral units.

The Processor model is available only with a gooseneck trailer hitch. There is a self-contained power unit with long-life marine battery and a solar panel mounted on top.
