Here's an interactive database of top seedstock operations

Updated, more accurate version now available of BEEF magazine's first, top-100 seedstock listing

If you are shopping for seedstock, you might check out BEEF magazine's Seedstock 100, a listing of the top seedstock producers in the beef industry ranked by bull sales volume.

This is BEEF's first annual edition of this tool and it has undergone some polishing since it first was published in the January edition of the magazine.

Senior Associate editor Jamie Purfeest says, "We had some pretty major changes to some of the listings after receiving feedback from producers. The online version is the up-to-date listing with all changes made, including updated bulls sold for some ranches, and in other cases, we just updated with more accurate contact information."

Contact information for each operation is listed, as well as its location and links to its web page.

Some of these operations are huge and sell very large numbers of bulls. The top five, for example, sell a total of 10,845 bulls each year. The next 15 together, rounding out the top 20 operations, sell 10,615 bulls per year.

Many of the operations listed are the top suppliers of the breeds with which they work. All have created enough commercial interest in their genetics to market at least 200 bulls or so annually.

The Seedstock 100 database is an interactive, sortable data table to help you find the bulls you need.
