The Natonal Cattlemen's Beef Association has opened entries for its third-annual National Anthem Singing Contest.
Youth 18 or younger and related to a National Cattlemen's Beef Association, American National Cattlewomen or Cattlemen's Beef Board member are eligible to participate.
The contest will determine the singer of the Star Spangled Banner at the opening general session of the 2016 Cattle Industry Convention Jan. 27-29 in San Diego, Calif. The session will be held on the USS Midway.
The winner of the contest will receive round-trip airfare for two to the convention, a hotel room for four nights, free registration for two to the convention and a pair of boots, jeans and a shirt from Roper or Stetson.
The deadline for entry is Oct. 19, and the top four finalists will be selected by Nov. 2. Online voting will take place to determine the winner, which will be announced on Dec. 4.
To enter, contestants must complete an entry form and submit a video performing the National Anthem (solo and a capella only).
